In those exciting times, the World Wide Web was yet to be born, CDs were a futuristic concept, and mobile phones were a distant dream. I'm talking about a world that predates almost everything we take for granted today.

Picture a time when replacing a PC network card felt like embarking on an epic quest that could stretch for three nail-biting days of testing, troubleshooting, and frantic swaps. Alt-Control-Delete became your daily companion, and convincing clients that a 100MB hard drive would last them forever. The look on their faces when gigabytes made their debut was priceless. Indeed, it was a world measured in megabytes.

However, do not be deceived by my nostalgic tales. I possess a wealth of expertise and innovation. In the mid-90s, I developed an exceptional video/DVD rental management system, which garnered over 800 installations across Southern Africa. To add to the accolades, my software was the first on the continent to offer built-in SMS messaging. Y2K? That year was like Christmas for me,my best ever year in IT.
